Cinnamon apple flavored jello shots made with apple cider and Fireball whisky. Prepare them for a fun way to enjoy alcohol while celebrating fall holidays.

Apple cider is one of the best things fall has to offer, so I always try to utilize it to the best of my ability. I love making cocktails like the apple cider Long Island, or this fun and boozy caramel apple slushy.
For something more unique, I started making apple cider jello shots for Friendsgiving a few years ago. They were a huge hit and disappeared very quickly! I immediately regretted not making a double batch.
I usually opt to use Fireball cinnamon whisky, since it’s already a fall staple and goes so well with apple. I’ve also found that bourbon is great, and if you use caramel flavored vodka it tastes like a caramel apple jello shot!
If you like these apple cider jello shots, check out my viral green apple jello shots made with Crown Apple. They’re similar, but a bit more playful. Try both and see which you like best!
Ingredients

- Apple Cider – Use your favorite store-bought brand, or make homemade crockpot apple cider.
- Alcohol – I recommend using Fireball or caramel vodka. Bourbon also works well.
- Gelatin – You’ll nee Knox gelatin packets for this recipe.
- Whipped cream (optional) – I like to top these jello shots with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon.

Tips
- Cider, not juice. Be sure to use apple cider, not apple juice. Apple cider has a much more robust flavor, apple juice is flat.
- Bloom the gelatin. It’s essential to “bloom” Knox gelatin before heating it. Otherwise, you could end up with undissolved lumps of gelatin. Sprinkle it evenly over the top of the apple cider and allow to sit for 5 minutes and absorb the liquid.
- Garnish right before serving. The whipped cream loses its shape quickly and falls flat, so don’t add it until you’re ready to consume.

Once you start making jello shots, you just can’t stop! I highly recommend you try peach jello shots made with Crown Royal Peach, or pink starburst flavored jello shots with whipped cream vodka.

Apple Cider Jello Shots

Ingredients
- 2 cups Apple Cider
- 2 packages Knox Gelatin
- 1 cup Fireball Whiskey
- Whipped cream, optional topping
Instructions
- Add apple cider to a sauce pan. Sprinkle the Knox gelatin evenly over the top of the liquid. Allow to sit and "bloom" for 5 minutes.
- Place the sauce pan on the stove over medium heat. Stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved into the apple cider.
- Remove from heat and add the Fireball. Stir to combine.
- Place 15 2 oz plastic cups on a baking sheet or in a baking dish (this allows you to keep them level and easily move them to the fridge). Evenly distribute the jello shot mixture between the cups.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, until gelatin is set.
- Top with whipped cream right before serving and enjoy!
