A fall twist on the classic Long Island Iced Tea cocktail, this apple cider version is perfect for tailgating, Thanksgiving, and other seasonal get-togethers.

If you love heavy hitting cocktails, you’re probably already familiar with many of the Long Island variations. I’ve published several of my favorites, including the Tokyo Tea (it got more than 9 million views on TikTok!) and a cranberry flavored Long Beach Iced Tea.
This one, however, is not as well known as some of the others. I’m trying to change that though! I firmly believe the Apple Cider Long Island Iced Tea might have the best flavor of them all! Despite the fact that it is absolutely packed with alcohol, it somehow just tastes like apple juice.
It’s such a delightful seasonal twist! You can even make it caramel apple cider by using caramel vodka and rimming your glass in caramel sauce.
Ingredients

- Alcohol – All the typical Long Island liquor: blanco or silver tequila, gin, vodka, white rum, and triple sec.
- Apple cider – Use your favorite brand of apple cider. You can substitute apple juice, but it won’t offer as robust of a flavor.
- Lemon juice – Use fresh squeezed lemon juice or substitute with sweet and sour mix.
- Garnish (optional) – Apple slices, lemon wedge, cinnamon stick, caramel sauce for rim.
Use any extra cider you have to make an apple old fashioned or an apple cider slushy.
Tips
- Like fizz? Add a splash of sparkling apple cider, club soda, or lemon-lime soda for some carbonation.
- Keep apple slices fresh. Using apple slices for your garnish? Coat them with lemon juice right after slicing to prevent them from browning.
- Want more apple flavor? Use apple flavored vodka instead of plain.

For another strong drink that’s ideal for the season, check out my s’mores old fashioned. It has a snack as the garnish!
