Cool off this fall with an apple cider slushy made with caramel vodka in the Ninja Slushi machine. It’s a delicious frozen cocktail that’s perfect for seasonal get-togethers.

A pint glass rimmed with caramel is filled with an apple cider slushy that's garnished a cinnamon stick and apple slice. A Ninja Slushi machine and bottle of vodka are out of focus in the background.

Just because summer is over, doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a slushy! There’s so many fall slushies I love to make (frozen butterbeer, anyone?), especially when having people over to watch football and for Friendsgiving.

Last year, I made this apple cider slushy in the Ninja Slushi, and it was a huge hit every time I served it! Freezing the cider concentrates its flavor – the crisp tartness, buttery sweetness, and hint of spice has never tasted so intense and delicious!

I prefer to use caramel vodka as the alcohol. That paired with the caramel rimmed cup tastes like you turned a caramel apple into a frozen cocktail – yum! Pair with an apple cider donut for an extra special fall treat.

Ingredients

A gallon of apple cider, a bottle of caramel vodka, a bottle of caramel sauce, and a lemon all on a black background.
  • Apple cider – You could substitute apple juice, but the flavor won’t be quite as robust as cider.
  • Alcohol – I love caramel vodka in this, but bourbon and apple whiskey are both great as well.
  • Garnish – I like to use caramel sauce, a cinnamon stick, and an apple slice as garnishes.

If you have leftover apple cider, try other cocktails with it like a fall spritz or an apple old fashioned.

Tips

  • Use a blender. You can make a smaller batch of this recipe in a blender by using 2 cups apple cider, .50 cups vodka, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 cup of ice.
  • Chill glasses before rimming. A cold glass helps the caramel rim set instead of running too far down the glass.
  • Serving a large party? I recommend making an additional batch ahead of time and storing it in a Yeti pitcher in the fridge.

Need more cocktail ideas for your Ninja Slushi? I highly recommend margarita slushies (which you can make so many different flavors!) or these delicious frozen lemon drops that are rimmed with sugar.

Prep Time: 5 minutes mins
Freeze Time: 30 minutes mins
Total Time: 35 minutes mins
Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Apple Cider
  • 1.5 cups Caramel Vodka
  • .25 cups Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Caramel sauce, optional

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to your Ninja Slushi machine and hit "spiked slush".
  • While the cocktail is freezing, place your pint glasses in the freezer to chill them.
  • Add caramel sauce to a small plate or bowl. Dip chilled glasses into the caramel right before dispensing the slushy.
  • When the machine beeps to signal the slushy is ready, place a glass underneath and pull the lever to dispense the liquid.
  • Garnish as desired, cheers, and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe was developed with the 88oz capacity Ninja Slushi. If you have the smaller version, cut the recipe in half to ensure it fits.
  • To make in a blender, add 2 cups apple cider, .50 cups vodka, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 cup of ice and blend until smooth.
