This iced latte has all the rich, buttery flavors of cake with hints of vanilla and sugar. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles for the ultimate birthday vibes.
One thing I never grew out of is my love for birthday cake. Just the thought of yellow cake covered in white icing and colorful sprinkles is enough to give me a spike of dopamine!
With my birthday coming up, I wanted to make a coffee drink that could help me celebrate. A birthday cake latte was the obvious answer.
To create it, I make a flavored milk base that tastes like a cupcake. Next, I add espresso, then top the drink with whipped cream or a cold foam and add lots of sprinkles.
Voila! A festive coffee to help you celebrate another year on this planet. 🎉
Ingredients
- Espresso – Use your favorite coffee beans to brew 2oz of espresso, or substitute 1/4 cup strongly brewed coffee.
- Flavored Syrup – I use Torani cupcake syrup in this latte.
- Milk – Use any milk you prefer (whole, 2%, almond, oat, etc.)
- Ice – I use my Opal nugget ice maker because I’m obsessed with pebble ice.
- Toppings – Any whipped cream or cold foam and confetti sprinkles.

Tips
- You can easily adjust the amount of syrup up or down to achieve your preferred level of sweetness.
- Want to top it with a cold foam instead of whipped cream? Just add 1/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream and some cupcake or vanilla syrup together, then combine with a double frother until thick.
- Make it even more fun by adding a drizzle of caramel or white chocolate syrup to your glass.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup ice
- 6 oz milk
- 2 oz cupcake syrup
- 2 oz espresso
- whipped cream
- sprinkles
Instructions
- Add ice to a large glass.
- Add milk and cupcake syrup. Stir to combine.
- Pour espresso over the top.
- Add whipped cream (or cold foam) and sprinkles. Enjoy!
