This simple two ingredient shooter tastes like a PB&J sandwich. Perfect for when you want a rich and fruity dessert shot.
If you like making shots at home you have to try this one! You only need one liquor, one liqueur, and a cocktail shaker to make it.
It features Screwball peanut butter whiskey and raspberry liqueur to recreate that contrasting rich nutty and sweet fruity flavor of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
It’s easy to scale up and make a large batch, so it’s perfect for birthday parties, girl’s nights, and pre-gaming with friends.
Ingredients
- Screwball Whiskey – You can substitute Frangelico, which is a hazelnut liqueur.
- Chambord – This is a raspberry liqueur. You can substitute strawberry liqueur or grape schnapps.
If you have any leftover Chambord, I highly recommend trying a jam donut shot.
Tips
- Chill the alcohol bottles ahead of time for the smoothest tasting shot.
- Garnish with raspberries on a skewer or get fancy and make mini PB&J sandwiches to place on top.
- It can be made as a layered shot by floating the whiskey on top of the fruit liqueur.
Variations
- The original PB&J shot uses hazelnut liqueur in place of the peanut butter whiskey.
- Instead of Chambord, you can use any fruit liqueur. Raspberry or apricot brandy also work.
- Use amaretto or Italian walnut liqueur in place of the whiskey.
- Some make this as a 1:1:1 ratio with an Irish cream float on top.
- Instead of shaking the alcohol together, pour one shot of whiskey and a separate shot of the fruit liqueur to shoot as a chaser.
