Pair your favorite Halloween candies with complementary cheeses and savory meats to make a spooky charcuterie board.
My favorite fall activity is Halloween movie night. Why? Definitely not the scary movies….it’s the snacks!
When I saw thatcheeseplate’s genius candy and cheese pairings on Instagram, I knew I had to make a Halloween themed charcuterie board where they were the star.
If you think these candy cheese pairings sound wild, let me tell you, your mind is going to be blown when you try them! They’re so much better than I could have imagined.
By the end of the board, I was dipping the candy pieces directly in the soft cheeses. They are truly meant to be together!
Ingredients
Candy – I’m using fun size Snickers, Twix, Reese’s peanut butter cups, and Kit-kats, as well as mellowcreme pumpkins and caramel corn for my pairings. There are additional ideas later in the post.
Cheese – To go with the candy listed above, you’ll need: gruyère, blue cheese, manchego, a wedge brie, aged gouda and triple cream brie wheel.
Meat – I used prosciutto for the eyeballs, Calabrese and genoa salami for the roses. You can substitute other charcuterie meats, if you’d prefer.
Accoutrements – I used moon drop grapes and raspberries because they have a spooky vibe. Pimento stuffed olives make the perfect creepy eyes. I added some small jars of jam and honey as well as Marcona almonds and crackers.

Tips
- Get creative! You can use cookie cutters to cut fruit & cheese slices into bats, pumpkins, and other iconic Halloween shapes.
- Looking for wine pairing ideas? “Thatcheeseplate” has some really good ideas on her Instagram.
- Make it spookier. Up the creep factor by adding plastic spiders as decorations or toy skeleton hands on both sides of the board.
- Size up or scale down. The ingredients listed fit perfectly on my coffin cheeseboard, but you can easily increase or decrease to suit your needs.

Halloween Charcuterie Board
Ingredients
Meat
- 1/4 pound Calabrese
- 1/4 pound Salami
- 2 slices Prosciutto
Candy
- 4 Fun Size Snickers
- 4 Fun Size Twix
- 3 Reese's Cups
- 1 Kit-Kat Bar
- 1/2 cup Mellowcreme Pumpkins
- 1/2 cup Caramel Corn
Cheese
- 1/4 pound Blue Cheese
- 1/4 pound Aged Gouda
- 1/4 pound Manchego
- 1/4 pound Brie, wedge
- 1/2 pound Triple Cream Brie, wheel
- 1/4 pound Gruyère
- 2 Fresh Mozzarella Bocconcini Balls
Accoutrements
- 4 Pimento Stuffed Olives
- 1 small jar Honey
- 1 small jar Jam
- 1 cup Moon Drop Grapes
- 1/4 cup Raspberries
- 1/8 cup Marcona Almonds
Instructions
- Unwrap your candies and cut or slice them into bite-size pieces.
- Make the creepy eyes by scooping at a small portion of your mozzarella balls with a teaspoon. Place an olive inside then wrap the outside with prosciutto.
- Take the calabrese and the salami and make two roses with them. I recommend following this tutorial.
- For easy serving, slice your cheeses. Round brie can be cut into wedges and the others as square slices or triangles.
- Assemble your board. I like to start with the largest pieces first, so I placed the meat roses and creepy eyes, then filled everything else in around them.
- If not serving immediately, tightly cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge until the witching hour.
