This creepy, layered shot looks like Zombie brains in a jar! Perfect for scaring guests at Halloween parties.
Halloween is the most fun time of the year because you get to make creepy cocktails and spooky shots.
Previously, I’ve served blood bag drinks and polyjuice potion shots at my parties with great success. This year, I’m offering guests three different kinds of brains shots.
Of the three, Zombie brains in a shot glass is my absolute favorite. It is so disturbing to look at, but the taste is actually surprisingly good! It’s a trick and a treat.
Ingredients
- Peach Schnapps – You can use triple sec instead, if you’d prefer.
- Grenadine – For the right color, use Rose’s Grenadine instead of a natural grenadine.
- Irish Cream – Use Bailey’s Irish cream to get the correct texture for the brains.
- Midori – I think Midori has the best flavor for this shot, but you can use creme de menthe instead.
Tips
- Use a bar spout on your liquor bottles or measure it out in these OXO mini beakers to make getting the layering and brains texture super easy.
- With the ingredients from this, you can also make the OG brain hemorrhage shot. If you have blue curacao, you can also do the alien brain hemorrhage.
- Some recipes tell you to pour the Bailey’s over the back of the spoon, however, it will look more brain-like and layer just as easy if you don’t.
