Sweet, tart, and creamy – green apple cold foam will become your new favorite drink topper! Try it on energy drinks, lemonade, soda, slushies and more!

I used to be quite basic when thinking about cold foams. When I wanted one I pretty much only considered vanilla or chocolate…strawberry if I wanted to get crazy.
Then, I visited a Dutch Bros and my eyes were opened. Cold foam, or soft top as “broistas” lovingly call it, could be anything you dreamed. Even candy flavored!
Now, I can’t stand to have a lemonade without green apple cold foam (or blue raspberry). It’s also great on iced tea, Sprite, and my favorite – Red Bull slushies.
It’s also perfect when you want a drink that has a bit of fall flavor, but you’re not a pumpkin spice girl. It brings seasonal flair without cinnamon and nutmeg. Try it on top of a dirty Alani Witches Brew.
Ingredients

- Heavy cream – I use heavy cream for my cold foams. I like the thick and creamy consistency. If you want a lighter cold foam, add some 2% milk in place of 1/3 of the cream.
- Syrup – Green apple Torani syrup brings all the flavor to this cold foam.
Tips
- Keep it cold. Protein bonds tighten in cold cream, allowing more stable foam. Always start with cream straight from the fridge.
- No frother? No problem! A handheld frother can be convenient, but you can make cold foam in a jar with a lid, or in a blender if you want to get fancy. You can even prepare a big batch in a mixing bowl with a whisk.
