Looking for a spooky shot to creep out guests at Halloween? Try these bloody brain hemorrhage shots.
Don’t let the name scare you off – brain hemorrhage shots are as tasty as they are eye-catching! They’re not only creamy & fruity, but also dramatic & delicious.
I love them because they’re a prime example of how density can create a stunning visual effect.
Don’t worry if you have no experience with layering shots, though it may look intimidating, this is a really easy one to start with!
Once you’ve mastered it, try the Zombie Brain shot variation that features a green brain.
Ingredients
- Peach Schnapps – No peach schnapps? You can substitute triple sec instead.
- Grenadine – Use Rose’s grenadine instead of a natural grenadine to get the right color.
- Irish Cream – Use Bailey’s Irish Cream to achieve the brain like texture of the top layer.
Tips
- Use a bar spout on your liquor bottles or measure it out in these OXO mini beakers to make getting the layering and brains texture super easy.
- For a sweeter shot, add more grenadine.
- Chill the liquor bottles before making to create a smooth tasting shot.
