I don’t trust anyone who says they don’t like Taco Bell.
Chances are they’re either a liar or an alien and I don’t have room in my life for either of those.
My homemade Crunchwrap Supreme recipe is easily the most popular recipe on our site. It has been viewed a few million times and pinned two million times!
It’s universally beloved and for good reason – it’s delicious AF.
The Crunchwrap is my favorite item on the Taco Bell menu. Since you guys loved it so much, I wanted to make a homemade version of my second favorite Taco Bell item – the chicken quesadilla. If you’ve had one, you know it’s covered in this amazing creamy yet spicy sauce.
That sauce is pretty much what makes the Taco Bell quesadilla unique.
The first step in creating a homemade version of this recipe is to recreate the special sauce.
Luckily it is pretty simple. You will need mayo for the base and a few spices like cayenne & garlic as well as some pickled jalapeños.
I always order a side of pico and sour cream when I hit up the Taco Bell drive-through. To me, this completes any quesadilla.
Janette prefers to eat hers plain, so I won’t fault you if you do too.
What recipe should I copycat next? I’m thinking maybe those new Taco Bell fries….

By any chance do you know the grilled stuft burrito recipe 😬 in particular the rice ?
thanks for the info!!!! def isnt basic cooking knowledge
I worked at Taco Bell for at least 17years. I have made this sauce and it is very very close to the one we had at the store. Love it!!!
Can Miracle Whip be used instead of mayo?
Would you recommend anything to add or change?
Hey can you share the exact recipe, I need it for my daughters birthday.
Delicious! Rave reviews from the family & my 12 year old son, the taco bell quesadilla lover! He said they tasted just like taco bell only WAY better 😄 & I agree. Thank you for sharing!
That sauce is spot on. Thanks! And finally a recipe which just makes a normal amount of food and not 700 portions 😅
My teenage daughter and I love Taco Bell quesadillas, so I tried this and we both love it!!! Thank you!!

I don’t believe it! Crazy! If you like taco bell even a little…do this!

Made these with Tyson fajita chicken strips and jalapeño candy. Aka cowboy candy. Was pretty good but will use less Mayo next time.
These were absolutely fantastic. I made enough sauce and chicken to have them 2 days in a row and I made a change that my wife said made it better than even taco bells. I replaced ALL of the cheeses listed with Mexican style four cheese (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Asadero, and quesadilla). We both agreed that the American cheese definitely threw in a flavor that didn’t fit the taco bell flavor profile.
We will definitely be making these again soon, just with that 1 change in place.
I respectfully disagree! I would’ve NEVER thought of putting American cheese in the quesadilla but it works. I’m convinced TB uses American cheese in theirs.
Omg. I did not believe the ratings. I tried the sauce before I made the quesadillas and was like meh idk.
I made the qiuesadillas and they taste exactly like taco bell!!! It’s insane. Tysm!!
This recipe is spot on!!! All i had to do was make a few tweaks to the seasoning and it tasted amazing 🤩!!!
This has become a part of my regular recipe rotation and one of my husband’s favorite meals of all time. I usually double it and divide the fillings between 5 tortillas – and we finish them all! It also reheats well if you have a couple leftover. Just store them in the fridge and pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes. I always serve these with homemade pico de gallo and guacamole – sooo good.

It was IDENTICAL to taco bells quesadilla! I was pleasantly surprised cause I thought it would be tasty, but not as similar. I was wrong. I will definitely make this again

THIS IS AMAZING! I just tried it and came on immediately to review because it is that good. I will never be making a quesadilla at home without this sauce again! Sincerely, teenager who loves Taco Bell

Amazing! Everyone just loves them, and me too. I don’t go to Taco Bell for quesadillas anymore (unless it’s an emergency lol) because I know I can make them, even better, at home.
Made this on my Black stone grill and they were awesome!! Sauce was super yum!! I did substitute Rotel I place of chillies. Also, I used left over BBQ chicken cut up thin! Everyone loved it!
I didn’t follow the recipe exactly because I didn’t have all of the ingredients on hand (missing the jalapenos and juice), but the sauce for this recipe is spot on and I can’t wait to find other uses for this! Thanks for the recipe!
My 15 year old grandson and I made this for lunch today. Turned out great. Everyone present said it was a do again!

This recipe was delicious!! My kids LOVED it! And including the little one which is a challenge on its own! Thank you!
I made this once and used Miracle Whip .. it was ok, but a little too much tang. Tried it again with Kraft Real Mayo and OHHHHH my gosh, what a difference!! My husband devoured them!! So Good!! Thank you for this recipe!!! It’s officially going into our regular dinner rotation!
Can you copy the grill cheese burrito. They are ssooo good
It was good but I wouldn’t say Taco Bell good. My 12 yo gave it 8 out of 10. Lol. Was super easy to make and I loved that. Will make again.
Use the sauce for a lot of other meals great recipes
Tried this & it was really good! Too sweet though, so will cut it to 1/2 tsp next time. Very nice job!
I feel like I must be missing something… the ingredients call for 1 cup of shredded cheese, but the instructions say to use 1/4 cup on each of two tortillas, for 1/2 cup total. Which figure is correct?
Been going with 1/2 cup each and it turns out great!
Omg thank you so much I have been looking for a way to make this you have helped a lot
Oh please the enchirito!!! Was one of my all.time favs
Awesome !!!!! Thank you so much for figuring it out!!!
Enjoyed! Will send to my 3 kids too

This was by far the best chicken quesadilla I have ever had! I never leave reviews but felt compelled. I did make a couple small changes because I just can’t resist when I’m cooking. I did half sour cream/half mayo and a dash of taco seasoning.
It’s sooo good. Ngl I get upset at people who tweak the recipe before trying the original but I found your recipe after making the sauce from another recipe that used 1/2 & 1/2 Mayo and sour cream. It also didn’t use sugar and added onion powder. BUT, I didn’t even think to use American cheese. I definitely think the TB version uses some kind of American cheese. Anyway it was delicious and I don’t have to pay $5.50 for a TB one that hasn’t got enough cheese or chicken!
