Fall is finally in full swing around here. For me, this means being busy, busy, busy!
Planning lunch or dinner can sometimes be too much of a chore. I try to keep some easy and quick recipes on hand for times like these.
One of my favorite dinner ideas is french bread pizza. Super easy, very quick, and oh-so-tasty! It’s a great dish because kids and adults both love it!
BBQ chicken pizza is pretty popular, but I like to shake it up with juicy, tender fresh pork!
We are big fans of all Farmer John Fresh Pork products. Their pork is so versatile that we regularly use them in our meals from breakfast to dinner. (I made these sliders with the pork loin and I absolutely love throwing their whole pork shoulders in the smoker. It’s a backyard BBQ hit every time!)

It’s so easy to grab a Farmer John Boneless Pork Loin, slice it into thin medallions (which really speeds up the cooking time), and incorporate it into any style of dish. You can sauté it on the stovetop with some BBQ sauce for 10 minutes.
After that, grab some french bread, slice it in half, slather on your favorite BBQ sauce, then add a generous helping of cheese. Chop the cooked Farmer John California Natural Fresh Pork into bite-size cubes, and place on top of the cheese. I usually like to add chopped red onions if I have them. You could also add some pineapple chunks & jalapeno slices for a spicy Hawaiian vibe. Delicious!
Slide it in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, then turn to broil and leave in another 2 or 3 minutes if you want the top to get nice and brown.
And there it is! Your delicious weeknight dinner ready in just 30 minutes!
BBQ Pork French Bread Pizza Recipe
2 French Bread Loaves
1 Farmer John Boneless Fresh Pork Loin
Salt & Pepper
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1.5 Cups BBQ sauce, divided
4 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Red Onion, diced
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Slice Farmer John Boneless Fresh Pork Loin into 1/2″ thick medallions. Salt & pepper each side.
Add 2 Tbsp olive oil to a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the pork loin medallions and cover with 1/2 cup of the BBQ sauce. Cover with lid and cook for 5 minutes. Turn pork medallions and cook another 5 minutes. Remove from pan & set aside to cool slightly.
Slice French bread loaves in half and place on a baking sheet. Spread the remainder of the BBQ sauce evenly across the four French bread slices, then top generously with the cheese.
Now that the pork has cooled, chop it into small cubes. Add the cubes to the top of the pizza. Add red onion, if desired.
Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted. If desired, turn to broil and leave in another 2-3, until cheese is bubbly with golden brown spots on top.
Use a pizza cutter to slice into smaller pieces. Enjoy!
